Given her expertise in customs law, including a thorough knowledge of the architecture of customs laws from entry and duty assessment processes to post entry audit to penalty regimes, Evelyn is able to assist clients, including companies, governments and development banks, with implementation of this important WTO Agreement. Her experience in this area includes representing clients in seeking legislative reforms to modernize U.S. customs laws. She also served for decades as a private sector advisor to the U.S. Government on Customs and Trade Facilitation for trade negotiations. Thus, Evelyn has years of experience working to eliminate burdensome and unnecessary customs procedures and has the knowledge and experience of the structure of customs laws to make necessary changes to facilitate trade. She has authored numerous commentaries and is a thought leader on the importance of the Agreement to the global economy.
